This small Church at Dores is where the GOLLAN family were baptised and married from the 1700s. Dores is situated on the Eastern side of Loch Ness a few minutes drive South of Inverness. The mountains in the background are on the Western bank of the Loch. |

When Thomas McGREGOR's & Jane GOLLAN's first daughter was baptised in 1838, they were living at Gollanfield. Gollanfield is East of Inverness very near to the present day airport. |
